Dear partners,

We are pleased to inform you that an inter-ministerial Working Group on Improvement of Investment Climate in a Tourism Sphere had been established. Head, Deputy Head and Secretary of the Working Group were appointed Zavkidjon Zavkiev, Lochin Fayzulloev and Numon Abdujabborov, respectively. The main tasks of the Working Group are to conduct a thorough analysis of investment climate in tourism, to prepare concrete recommendations and to submit the results to a Session of the Investment Council under the President of Tajikistan envisiged some time in August/September this year. At this juncture, active support of development partners, especially in hiring experts for conducting analysis and in helping the Working Group would be key in successful completion of the tasks.

The Head of the Working Group already began to effectively coordinate work of the Working Group with the respective Working Group of development partners chaired by Mr Christopher Miller (IFC) and would maintain such cooperation during the whole process. First meeting of the Working Group is planned for this Thursday.
