Today, the members of the Working Group conducted the first meeting at the Secretariat’s office.

The Head of the Working Group Mr. Zavkiev Zavkidjon opened the meeting and pointed out that for the purpose of implementation of paragraph 3, point 3 of Protocol (Minutes) of 10th Session of the Consultative Council on Improvement of Investment Climate under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, dated October 19, 2012, №1c/12.2-13, according to point 8 of the Charter of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, which was approved by the Decree №590 of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on December 28, the Working Group on Improvement of Investment Climate in Tourism Sphere was established.

The main tasks of the Working Group are to conduct a thorough analysis of investment climate in tourism, to prepare concrete recommendations and to submit the results to a Session of the Investment Council under the President of Tajikistan envisiged some time in August/September this year.

The Draft of the Working Plan of the activity of the Working Group was discussed during this meeting. It was noted that the Working Plan was developed in cooperation with development partners. The Working Group members are required to consider the plan and to submit their recommendations to the Investment Council Secretariat.

At the end of the meeting it was agreed that:

1. Working Group will consider the Working Plan and submit their recommendations untill the next meeting.

2. Include the representatives of Ministry of culture, Statistic Agency, Migration Service, Ministry of Agriculture, Border Administration, Office for Visas and Registration for Foreign Citizens to the Working Group.

3. The next meeting of the Working Group will be held on April 10, at 15:00.
