Today, a round table on "Green Climate Fund Investment Modalities: Opportunities for Private Sector " was conducted in Sheraton Hotel.

Representatives from public sector, development partners, and private sector were attended the round table.

The event was opened by Manuchehra Madjonova - acting Head of Secretariat of the Consultative Council on Improvement of Investment Climate under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Nasim Radzhabov - Head of the Climate Change and Ozon Layer Study Center of the Committee on Environmental Protection, and Felix Fallasch, GIZ Advisor of Climate Finance Readiness Programme.

Pavel Cincera, Green Climate Fund (GCF) International Expert submitted a comprehensive presentation regarding GCF objectives and mandate, country ownership (coordination mechanism, National Designated Authority), access modalities (international and national accredited entities), business opportunities, private sector engagement.

Meanwhile, Mr. Pavel Cincera provided detailed information on National Designated Authority, secretariat and coordination mechanism, no-objection procedure & TEG role.

At the completion of the event, participants of the round table were active in discussions, Q&A section.
