The Automobile Code of the Republic of Tajikistan was adopted by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated October 2, 2019, №480 and submitted for consideration of the Parliament of the Republic of Tajikistan.

It should be mentioned that Automobile Code of the Republic of Tajikistan has been drafted in 2016-2017. According to the protocol instructions point 1.1. of the XVIII Session of the Consultative Council on Improvement of Investment Climate under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated January 26, 2018 it has been improved in line with international practice and submitted to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

This Code takes into account the main provisions of international conventions and agreements in the field of international road transport ratified by the Republic of Tajikistan. It was developed with the support of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

The timely adoption and implementation of this resolution will help Tajikistan to become a transit country.
