As part of the implementation of instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Mr. Emomali Rahmon on November 19, 2021 in the framework of the celebration of the 30-th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and the International Women Entrepreneurs Day at the National Library of Tajikistan was held the Women Entrepreneurs Forum entitled "Modern Tools for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship" and the Exhibition and goods and products of women entrepreneurs. This event was organized by the initiative of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Secretariat of the Consultative Council on Improvement of Investment Climate under the President of Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the National Bank of Tajikistan and with the support of the Representative Office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and other development partners.
This event was attended by Matlubakhon Sattoriyon, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Saadi Kodirzoda, Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, Nigorakhon Ghafforzoda, First Deputy Chair of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Barbara Rambousek, Director Gender & Economic Inclusion Department of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development representatives of line ministries and state agencies, heads of the association of women entrepreneurs, development partners, international experts, representatives of financial organizations and others.
The objectives of this Forum were to present new opportunities for women, girls, youth and persons with disabilities through new financial instruments, training and international exchange of experience to create opportunities for doing business, improve tax culture, get acquainted with the possibilities of using modern technologies, present the opportunities created in remote areas, presentation and acquaintance with the centers of entrepreneurship, including educational courses, seminars, trainings in the regions, increasing access to information resources, presenting programs for the development of social entrepreneurship.
It was underlined that with the constant support of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, a woman acquired a special status and place in society. In particular, as a result of the measures taken, women make a valuable contribution to the development of the country's economy in all spheres of society, with their creative energy.
After the end of the official part of the Forum, its work was continued in three separate panels on the topics “Political, economic and legal basements for the development of women's entrepreneurial activity in the Republic of Tajikistan”, “Development of the potential of women in the field of agriculture through supportive programs. Regional empowerment" and "Empowering women through financial tools and other e-services".
In the final part of the Forum, the reports of the moderators of the panels were heard, a question and answer session and an exchange of views took place among the participants of the forum.
Within the framework of the forum a number of memorandums and cooperation agreements were signed.
