A constructive meeting with domestic entrepreneurs was held today in the hall of the executive body of state power of the Khatlon region, under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Davlatali Said. The heads of several ministries and committees, the chairman of the Khatlon region Kurbon Hakimzoda, deputy chairmen of the Khatlon region, the deputy chairmen of cities and districts, top management of banks, heads and representatives of free economic zones, heads of law enforcement agencies, and representatives of the media participated in the meeting.
The main purpose of the meeting was to improve the investment climate, attract foreign direct investment, support small and medium businesses, increase the economic and export potential of the region, create new manufacturing enterprises that meet the requirements of the modern world, and produce competitive good.
Mr. Davlatali Said stressed that our main goal is to support domestic entrepreneurs, ensure sustainable development of production, attract direct investment, ensure implementation of projects and state programs, first of all, the implementation of instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. In this regard, the correction of shortcomings and the concerns expressed during the meeting with activists of the region by the Supreme Leader of the Nation are constantly under the control of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Leader of the Nation, Chairman of the Consultative Council on Improvement of Investment Climate under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had noted at the eighteenth session of the Council, on the activities of councils under the chairmen of regions, cities, and districts, the main priority of these councils is to directly participate in the discussion, review, and development of legislative acts regulating the activities of the sector and express their position in terms of opportunities for the development of the sector.
It was noted that in this regard, the decisions of the Consultative Council under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on improving the investment climate have been sent to the executive bodies of the Khatlon region and its cities and districts, and it is necessary to pay special attention to its implementation.
Entrepreneurs of Khatlon expressed their views on the improvement of work, and the solution of their problems.
The entrepreneurs discussed opportunities to create conditions for new trade, production of high quality and competitive products, access to soft loans in the national currency, more cocoon production, and supply of industrial raw materials to "DUK" in Shahritus district, land allocation for the construction of mulberry groves, staffing of workshops and production enterprises, access of entrepreneurs and sellers with certificates of conformity of products, their mandatory medical examination, refund of VAT at the enterprise "Avvalin" of Qubodiyon district, development of floriculture and other vital issues.
The First Deputy Prime Minister drew the attention of officials to the solution of the problems of entrepreneurs, and support their creative and patriotic initiatives.
At the end of the meeting, First Deputy Prime Minister Davlatali Said stressed that entrepreneurs themselves should seek to attract investors and contribute to the implementation of projects and government programs. Those enterprises that have not been operating for many years should be monitored and tax officials should intensify their work in this area, and in this regard, government agencies and entrepreneurs should make a significant contribution to celebrating the 35th anniversary of state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
