On June 21, 2022, a regular meeting of the Taskforce on youth, women and people with disabilities entrepreneurship development was held at the Business Incubator of Tajikistan.

The meeting was attended by more than 60 people, including Taskforce’ members from representatives of the relevant ministries and agencies, business associations, private sector, development partners and the mass media.

Firstly, the Taskforce Secretaries from State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Secretariat of the Consultative Council under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, briefed the participants on the new measures of the Government of the country, as well as on reforms and plans in this sector.

Then, the Program Coordinator of the UN Women's Representative office in Tajikistan submitted a presentation regarding the EXPO 2022 - Development of women's entrepreneurship. As it was noted that a number of events are planned within the framework of EXPO 2022 in order to improve women's entrepreneurial skills. Specific information was also provided on the progress of this process, the planned summit, and further steps for the leadership of Tajik entrepreneurs at this event.

According to the second item on the agenda of the meeting, representatives of state bodies, development partners and public organizations delivered presentations and information on entrepreneurial activity development of women, youth and people with disabilities. In particular, representatives of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, JICA Representative in Tajikistan, UNDP Representative Office in Tajikistan, Accelerate Prosperity in Tajikistan, PEAK Tajikistan, NGO “Ishtirok”, NGO “Multikid” delivered speeches and presentations regarding their opportunities, projects and plans.

At the end of the meeting, the participants took an active part in the questions and answers section and an exchange of views.
