On 21 July 2022 a meeting with Consultative Council’ members was held.
The meeting was opened by the Head of Secretariat of the Consultative Council under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on improvement of investment climate, Mr Numon Abdugafforzoda.
At the beginning, brief information was provided regarding the objectives and activities of the Council, in particular it was noted that the Consultative Council under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on improvement of investment climate is the most important PPD platform. The Council was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan aimed to strengthen PPD, to ensure the active participation of the private sector in the process of developing and adopting regulatory legal acts, and important government decisions to support entrepreneurship and investment.
As it was noted, to date, the most essential issues of the business and investment process has been monitored under the leadership of the President of Tajikistan, and 22 Sessions of the Consultative Council have been conducted and a number of influent decisions have been adopted.
In this regard, the instructions of the President of the country at the 22nd Consultative Council as of 16 March 2022, including the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in connection with the announcement of moratorium on inspections of the activities of business entities until 1 January 2023, as well as the signed Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “on moratorium on inspections of the activities of business entities” as of 8 June 2022.
It was also emphasized the need to use the rights and proper performance of the members functions, experience, skills and knowledge, organizational performance, consideration and private sector proposals, their effective role in the sector development.
The presentations were made on activities of the Council, the rights and obligations of Council members, and decisions of the 22nd Consultative Council’ Session.
The members of the Consultative Council stated that the Consultative Council is a very essential platform to implement significant reform on business and investment climate in Tajikistan and expressed their willingness to enhance their impact and use this platform.
In continuation, an exchange of views on the issues raised took place.
At the end of the meeting, it was expressed that the members of the Council, during their activity as members will take the necessary measures by monitoring, considering and finding solutions to private sector issues and improving the business and investment climate.
